Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.

This package will install the integrated development environment that allows for program writing, code verification, compiling, and uploading to the Arduino development board. Example code will also be installed.

Some base AVR libraries will be provided by the depending additional package arduino-core-avr. More libraries can be installed within the IDE itself by calling the libarary manager. This requires a working internet access.

CSS/HTML/XML 文書の検証のためには、 csstidy, tidy, weblint, xmllint が必要となります。プレビューのためには、ローカルファイルをコマンド引数経由で 開くことが可能なウェブブラウザが必要です。PHP および Python 向けには、 php-codesniffer および pylint がサポートされます。make, perl, php5-cli, java-compiler などのツールは提案されていませんがサポートされています。

Debian パッケージを構築するつもりがないのであれば、本パッケージは不要です。 1.14.18 以降の dpkg では、Debian パッケージの構築に本パッケージは必須です。

Colobot (Colonize with Bots) is an educational game aiming to teach programming through entertainment. You are playing as an astronaut on a journey with robot helpers to find a planet for colonization. It features 3D real-time graphics and a C++ and Java-like, object-oriented language, CBOT, which can be used to program the robots available in the game.

crystal-facet-uml creates sysml/uml diagrams to document system and software architecture.

As software architect, you create a set of diagrams describing use-cases, requirements, structural views, behavioral and deployment views. crystal-facet-uml keeps element names and element hierarchies consistent. It exports diagrams in svg, pdf, ps and png formats to be used in text processing systems like DocBook, html, LaTeX. crystal-facet-uml exports the model to json and xmi format; json can also be imported. The Data Display Debugger (DDD) is a popular graphical user interface to UNIX debuggers such as GDB, DBX, XDB, JDB and others. Besides typical front-end features such as viewing source texts and breakpoints, DDD provides an interactive graphical data display, where data structures are displayed as graphs. Using DDD, you can reason about your application by watching its data, not just by viewing it execute lines of source code.

Builder is a new IDE for GNOME that is focused on bringing the power of our platform to more developers than ever before.

Builder attempts to be an IDE for writing software for GNOME. It does not try to be a generic IDE, but one specialized for GNOME application developers.

KDevelop is a Free and Open Source integrated development environment (IDE). It provides editing, navigation and debugging features for several programming languages, as well as integration with multiple build systems and version-control systems, using a plugin-based architecture.

KDevelop has parser backends for C, C++ and Javascript/QML, with further external plugins supporting e.g. PHP or Python.

KTurtle is an educational programming environment which uses the TurtleScript programming language (inspired by Logo) to make programming as easy and accessible as possible.

The user issues TurtleScript language commands to control the "turtle", which draws on the canvas, making KTurtle suitable for teaching elementary mathematics, geometry and programming.

This package is part of the KDE education module.

Lazarus is an IDE to create (graphical and console) applications with Free Pascal, the (L)GPLed Pascal and Object Pascal compiler that runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, FreeBSD and more.

Lazarus is the missing part of the puzzle that will allow you to develop programs for all of the above platforms in a Delphi-like environment. The IDE is a RAD tool that includes a form designer.

Unlike Java's "write once, run anywhere" motto, Lazarus and Free Pascal strive for "write once, compile anywhere". Since the exact same compiler is available on all of the above platforms you don't need to do any recoding to produce identical products for different platforms.

This package provides the Python3 modules EasyGUI. Experienced Pythonistas need support for quick and dirty GUI features. Squeak is a full-featured implementation of the Smalltalk programming language and environment based on (and largely compatible with) the original Smalltalk-80 system.

This package contains just the Unix Squeak virtual machine. You will likely need also an image file containing a "snapshot" of a live Squeak session - e.g. one of the Debian packages etoys or scratch.

Apache Subversion, also known as svn, is a centralised version control system. Version control systems allow many individuals (who may be distributed geographically) to collaborate on a set of files (source code, websites, etc). Subversion began with a CVS paradigm and supports all the major features of CVS, but has evolved to support many features that CVS users often wish they had.

This package includes the Subversion client (svn, svnsync), repository administration tools (svnadmin, svnlook) and a network server (svnserve).

Thonny is a simple Python IDE with features useful for learning programming.

It comes with a debugger which is able to visualize all the conceptual steps taken to run a Python program (executing statements, evaluating expressions, maintaining the call stack). There is a GUI for installing 3rd party packages and special mode for learning about references.

Umbrello UML Modeller is a Unified Modelling Language diagram editor for KDE. It can create diagrams of software and other systems in the industry-standard UML format, and can also generate code from UML diagrams in a variety of programming languages.
