Głównym celem tego projektu jest ułatwienie korzystania ze starszych
aplikacji, nie obsługiwanych przez aktywny system JACK MIDI. a2jmidid to
demon, który realizuje automatyczne przerzucanie połączeń. Dla każdego
portu sekwensera ALSA pojawia się jeden port MIDI. Jeśli port sekwensera
ALSA jest zarówno wejściem i wyjściem, to uzyskuje się dwa porty MIDI,
czyli jedno wejście i jedno wyjście.

Patchage provides a graphical interface to connect jack and midi inputs
and outputs. Each application is represented as one box with inputs on
the left and output on the right. Boxes can be moved around and
arranged to have a clear display of the current setup.
