The Calf plugins include all todays frequently used studio effects along with some feature-rich sound processors.

Calf Studiogear is designed to run under the most flexible plugin standard in Linux, namely LV2. So you're able to insert them in lots of plugin-capable audio software like Ardour, Rosegarden and others.

The Calf Rack offers you all Calf effects and synthesizers in an easy-to-use studio rack. Wire the effects through Jack to build your own studio environment and trigger the sound processors live or through a MIDI sequencer or tracker.

IR is a zero-latency, realtime, high performance signal convolver especially for creating reverb effects. Supports impulse responses with 1, 2 or 4 channels, in any soundfile format supported by libsndfile.

This package contains the 'core' LV2 audio plugin specification, including data required by hosts to make effective use of LV2 plugins. LV2 is a simple but extensible successor of LADSPA plugins, intended to address the limitations of LADSPA which many applications have outgrown.

The unified LV2 release is now provided by the lv2-dev package. This is a dummy package and can be safely removed after the installation.

Each section has an active/bypass switch, frequency, bandwidth and gain controls. There is also a global bypass switch and gain control. All switches and controls are internally smoothed, so they can be used 'live' whithout any clicks or zipper noises. This should make this plugin a good candidate for use in systems that allow automation of plugin control ports, such as Ardour, or for stage use.

Perhaps you don't know what a vocoder is, but I'm sure you have heard one before. Vocoders are often used to add a robotic effect to vocals in music. Happy robots use Linux and LV2!

This vocoder plugin has 2 AUDIO inputs and 1 OUTPUT. The first INPUT is the "Formant" signal which is usually someone's voice. The second INPUT is the "Carrier" signal which is some sort of continuous synth sound. The "Carrier" signal is modulated to the "Formant".

There are a number of controls ports. The first one is the "Number of bands" which is how many frequency bands to use (current maximum is 16). The rest of the controls set the level of each individual band and should have a value between 0.0 and 1.0. The lower numbered bands are lower in frequency the higher numbered bands are higher in frequency.

lv2rack and zynjacku are included in this package.

lv2rack is an LV2 effects "rack" for the JACK low latency audio API. The rack can be filled with LV2 effects plugins and can be controlled using the ALSA sequencer. It can turns your computer into an effects box.

zynjacku is an LV2 synths "rack" for the JACK low latency audio API. It has one JACK MIDI input port (routed to all hosted synths) and one (two for stereo synths) JACK audio output port per plugin. Such design provides multi-timbral sound by running several synth plugins.
