Debian Multimedia Graphics packages

The Create Project provides shared resources for use by creative applications such as Blender, CinePaint, the GIMP, Inkscape, and Scribus.

The package includes brushes, color swatches files, gradients, etc. , so that the user doesn't need to install all of these resources separately for each and every application that can read such data.

FractalGenerator is a Qt-based program to generate fractal images (e.g. Mandelbrot set). The size of the calculated images is only limited by the computer's virtual memory. That is, images may use the full printer resolution !

It is possible to zoom into images. Image parameters can be saved in XML files and loaded from XML files. Calculated images can be exported as PNG files.

The intention of this program is to generate graphics to be post-processed by other image tools, e.g. in order to generate nice screen backgrounds or book covers.

Gem is a loadable library for Pure Data (Pd), which adds OpenGL graphics rendering and animation to Pd. Pd is a graphical programming language and computer music system.

This package contains the core library. If you want to use external data (live video capture, film footage, still images, ...), you have to install one (or all) of the gem-plugin-* packages.

Obsahuje rozsiahlu kolekciu profesionálnych editovacích nástrojov a filtrov, podobných nástrojom, ktoré môžete nájsť vo Photoshope. Veľa nastavení na konečné doladenie a vlastnosti ako vrstvy, cesty, masky a skriptovanie poskytujú úplnú kontrolu nad vašimi obrázkami.

Podporuje mnohé formáty súborov obrázkov vrátane súborov JPEG, Photoshop (.psd) a Paint Shop Pro (.psp). Je možné ho používať aj na skenovanie a tlačenie fotografií.

Na otváranie vzdialených súborov (napr. cez HTTP) si nainštalujte balík gvfs-backends.

Ak chcete používať rozhranie MIDI (ako hudobné klávesy) ako vstupné zariadenie pre GIMP, nainštalujte si balík libasound2 a prečítajte si postup v súbore /usr/share/doc/gimp/README.MIDI

• traditional-orton: Traditional Orton: Toto je efekt, ktorý v 90. rokoch 20. storočia vynašiel Michael Orton, ktorý sa skladá z dvoch kópií obrázka, kde jedna je rozostrená a jedna je ostrá a ich zmiešaní za účelom vytvorenia zasneného obrázka. Je obzvlášť vhodný na fotografie krajiniek a kvetín.
• wavelet-denoise (0.3.1): Wavelet Denoise Modul vlnkového odstránenie šumu je nástroj na selektívne odstránenie šumu jednotlivých kanálov obrázka s voliteľnou konverziou RGB<->YCbCr. Má používateľské rozhranie na nastavenie sily použitého odstránenia šumu. Vlnková podstata algoritmu sa prejaví na pomerne rýchlom spracovaní.

Toto je grafický nástroj na import RAW obrázkov z high-end digitálnych fotoaparátov do editora GIMP.

Unidentified Flying Raw (UFRaw) je nástroj na konverziu a manipuláciu RAW obrázkov z digitálnych fotoaparátov. Je ho možné použiť buď ako samostatný nástroj alebo ako zásuvný modul GIMPu a obrázky možno spracovávať dávkovo pomocou nástrojov príkazového riadka. UFRaw dokáže načítať väčšinu existujúcich formátov RAW pomocou konverzného nástroja pre RAW DCRaw od Dava Coffina a podporuje základné možnosti správy farieb pomocou Little CMS, čím umožňuje používateľovi používať profily farieb.

IanniX is a graphical sequencer for digital arts, inspired by Iannis Xenakis' upic system for graphical scores. IanniX manages events described via graphical elements (like curves) and controls your real-time environment via Open Sound Control (OSC). It can also be fully controlled via OSC (or FUDI, if you prefer).

This program will take a list of raster images and produce a PDF file with the images embedded in it. JPEG and JPEG2000 images will be included without recompression. Raster images in other formats will be included with zip/flate encoding which usually leads to an increase in the resulting size because formats like png compress better than PDF which just zip/flate compresses the RGB data. As a result, this tool is able to losslessly wrap images into a PDF container with a quality to filesize ratio that is typically better (in case of JPEG and JPEG2000 images) or equal (in case of other formats) than that of existing tools.

This package contains the executable.

Mandelbulber2 is a ray-tracing application for drawing three-dimensional fractals, like Mandelbulb, Mandelbox, Julia, trigonometric, hypercomplex or IFS fractals. It is highly customizable and features complex shading algorithms (among the others there are shadows, depth of field, ambient occlusion).

Mandelbulber2 is also able to produce animations and has a simple built-in 3D navigator for exploring the fractals.

OpenCOLLADA is a project dedicated to join efforts using COLLADA within various DCC tools like 3ds Max, Maya, Blender and a fast SDK for reading and writing COLLADA files.

This package contains an OpenCOLLADA based validator for COLLADA files.

A portable, high level graphics toolkit for the development of high performance graphics applications such as flight simulators, games, virtual reality or scientific visualization. Providing an object orientated framework on top of OpenGL, it frees the developer from implementing and optimizing low level graphics calls, and provide many additional utilities for rapid development of graphics applications.

PDP is an extension library for Pd that allows you to manipulate movies and live video data in realtime. PDP stands for Pd Packet, the data container that is used for images in PDP.

This is a PDP extension lib that contains modules for cellular automata built on a (very) minimal forth-like virtual system (scaf - simple cellular automaton forth) to define update rules. A compiler is included to produce 'scafo' object code that can be dynamically loaded into the [pdp_ca] module. So it is possible to add/change rules without restarting Pd.

Tento modul vezme zoznam rastrových obrázkov a vytvorí súbor PDF obsahujúci zadané obrázky. Obrázky JPEG a JPEG2000 budú vložené bez opätovnej komprimácie. Rastrové obrázky v iných formátoch budú vložené s kódovaním zip/flate, či zvyčajne vedie k zväčšeniu výslednej veľkosti, pretože formáty ako PNG komprimujú lepšie než PDF, ktoré jednoducho skomprimuje RGB dáta pomocou zip/flate. Vo výsledku tento modul dokáže bezstratovo zahrnúť obrázky do kontajnera PDF s pomerom kvality k veľkosti súboru zvyčajne lepším (v prípade obrázkov JPEG a JPEG2000) alebo rovným (v prípade iných formátov) než doterajšie nástroje.

Whitedune can read VRML97 files, display and let the user change the scenegraph and all fields of all nodes.

The most powerful 3D modelling features of whitedune support the VRML97 Amendment1 style NURBS nodes and Superformula based PROTOs. This is mainly convenient for building some rounded shapes.

YASW (Yet Another Scan Wizard) is an application used to correct images taken with a camera. It can be used to post process the scanning of a book or to correct an individual image taken with a camera.

Agave je veľmi jednoduchá aplikácia pre pracovného prostredie GNOME, ktorá vám umožňuje generovať rozličné farebné schémy z jedinej počiatočnej farby.

Blender je integrovaná sada 3D nástrojov na modelovanie, animáciu, vykresľovanie, postprodukciu, interaktívnu tvorbu a prehrávanie (hry). Blender má vlastné špecifické používateľské rozhranie, ktoré je kompletne implementované v OpenGL a navrhnuté s ohľadom na rýchlosť. Na skriptovanie sú dostupné väzby pre Python. Vo forme skriptov sú implementované možnosti importu/exportu populárnych formátov súborov ako 3D Studio a Wavefront Obj. Bežnými výsledkami použitia Blendera sú statické scény, animácie, modely pre hry alebo iné jadrá tretích strán a interaktívny obsah v samostatnej binárnej forme.

Deepin Image Viewer is an image viewer and manager elaborately produced by Deepin Technology. It is fashion and smooth, supports multiple image formats, user can view any kind of image. Enblend je nástroj na skladanie obrázkov. Program dostane sadu obrázkov, ktoré sa nejakým nepravidelným spôsobom prelínajú. Enblend ich preloží takým spôsobom, že švy medzi obrázkami nevidno alebo ich aspoň ťažko rozoznať. Možno ho napríklad použiť na zostavenie panorámy z niekoľkých obrázkov.

Používa Burt-Adelsonove zmiešavanie vo viacerých rozlíšeniach. Táto technika sa pokúša zneviditeľniť švy medzi vstupnými obrázkami. Základnou myšlienkou je, že rysy obrázka by mali byť zmiešané naprieč prechodovou oblasťou úmerne k priestorovej frekvencii týchto rysov. Napríklad objekty ako stromy a okenné tabule majú náhle zmeny farby. Zmiešaním týchto rysov v úzkej oblasti nedokážete rozlíšiť švy, pretože oko už očakáva, že uvidí zmeny farby na okraji týchto rysov. Oblaky a nebo sú opakom. Tieto rysy sa musia zmiešať naprieč veľkou prechodovou oblasťou, pretože akákoľvek náhla zmena farby bude okamžite viditeľná.

Enblend za vás nevykonáva zarovnanie obrázkov. Na to použite nástroj ako Hugin alebo PanoTools. Obrázky TIFF, ktoré tieto programy tvoria, sú presne to, s čím Enblend dokáže pracovať.

FontForge je editor písiem. Dokáže prevádzať prísma medzi formátmi OpenType, TrueType, UFO, CID-keyed, Multiple Master a mnohými ďalšími.

This is a manager built with the kind of features and abilities graphic designers, layout professionals along with others have felt necessary, but modernized with some new touches.

Fontmatrix has a concept of 'tagging'. This makes it really nice to group fonts and even sub-group them logically for use in a book for instance. It also has extensive gui support for showing all glyphs in a font, previews of sample text, variable sizing and also tells what kinds of advanced Open Type features are inside each font. These features have never been seen outside of a font editor. And not least, it creates a nice PDF catalogue of user's fonts for printing or reference. In short, fontmatrix is a font manager for professionals, but is nice and user friendly.

GEGL (Generic Graphics Library) is a graph based image processing framework.

GEGL's original design was made to scratch GIMP's itches for a new compositing and processing core. This core is being designed to have minimal dependencies and a simple well defined API.

Hugin je program na skladanie panoramatických fotografií. V podstate je Hugin grafické rozhranie k Panorama Tools. Skladanie sa robí pomocou niekoľkých, vzájomne sa presahujúcich, fotografií odfotených z rovnakého miesta. Na zarovnanie a transformácie fotiek sa používajú riadiace body, takže je možné vytvoriť medzi nimi prechody a dosiahnuť väčší obraz. Hugin umožňuje jednoduchú tvorbu riadiacich bodov medzi dvomi obrázkami, optimalizáciu transformácií obrázkov a veľa ďalšieho.

Inkscape is an illustration editor which has everything needed to create professional-quality computer art. You can use it to make diagrams and illustrations, technical drawings, web graphics, clip art, icons and logos. A collection of hands-on tutorials show you how to combine lines, shapes and text of different types and styles to build up a picture.

A selection of powerful vector graphics editing tools comes as standard. There is excellent support for paths, gradients, layers, alpha transparency and text flow control. An extensive library of filters allow you to apply realistic effects and extensions allow you to work with bitmaps, barcodes and printing marks, amongst other things.

Most of the common vector formats are supported, including PDF, Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD files, and it has unrivalled support for the SVG web graphics standard.

Metapixel je program na tvorbu fotomozaiky. Dokáže tvoriť klasické fotomozaiky, v ktorých je zdrojový obrázok maticou štvorcov s rovnakou veľkosťou za ktoré sa zamení zodpovedajúci obrázok, ale aj fotomozaiky v štýle koláže, kde sú štvorcové časti zdrojového obrázka na ľubovoľných pozíciách (t.j. nie sú zarovnané vzhľadom na maticu) nahradené zodpovedajúcimi obrázkami.

Tento balík pridáva položku menu „Zmeniť veľkosť obrázkov...“ do kontextového menu všetkých obrázkov. Tá otvára dialóg, kde môžete nastaviť požadovanú veľkosť obrázka a názov súboru. Kliknutím na „Zmeniť veľkosť“ vykonáte zmenu veľkosti pomocou nástroja convert z ImageMagick.

Scribus is an open source desktop page layout program with the aim of producing commercial grade output in PDF and Postscript.

Scribus can be used for many tasks; from brochure design to newspapers, magazines, newsletters and posters to technical documentation.

Scribus supports professional DTP features, such as CMYK color and a color management system to soft proof images for high quality color printing, flexible PDF creation options, Encapsulated PostScript import/export and creation of 4 color separations, import of EPS/PS and SVG as native vector graphics, Unicode text including right to left scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew via freetype. Simple Scan je v podstate rozhranie k SANE - čo je to isté, čo na pozadí používa XSANE. To znamená, že všetky existujúce skenery budú fungovať a rozhranie je dobre otestované.

xsane je možné spúšťať ako samostatný program alebo prostredníctvom GIMPu. V samostatnom režime dokáže xsane ukladať obrázok do súboru v rozličných obrázkových formátoch, môže slúžiť ako frontend faxového programu alebo poslať obrázok na tlačiareň.

SANE znamená „Scanner Access Now Easy“ a je to API, ktoré poskytuje štandardizovaný prístup k akémukoľvek hardvéru rastrového skenera obrázkov (stolný, ručný skener, kamery a fotoaparáty, zachytávače snímok atď.). Štandard SANE je slobodný a jeho diskusia a vývoj otvorený pre kohokoľvek. Súčasný zdrojový kód je napísaný s ohľadom na podporu niekoľkých operačných systémov vrátane GNU/Linux, OS/2, Win32 a rozličných unixových systémov. Je dostupný za podmienok GNU General Public License (sú však vítané aj komerčné aplikácie a backendy).

AnImaL is an imaging and computer vision library written in C. Differently from most other toolkits, it is intended to provide the maximum functionality by making strong usage of similar libraries. It is intended to be a common API to the best free imaging and computer vision libraries already available, such as ImageMagick and Gandalf. By defining a common API and using external libraries, AnImaL selects the best implementation available in them to implement a particular algorithm. This way AnImaL unites the best from the other libraries it uses.

Animata is a real-time animation software, designed to create interactive background projections for concerts, theatre and dance performances, and promotional screenings.

The peculiarity of the software is that the animation - the movement of the puppets, the changes of the background - is generated in real-time, making continuous interaction possible. This ability also permits that physical sensors, cameras or other environmental variables can be attached to the animation of characters, creating a cartoon reacting to its environment. For example, it is quite simple to create a virtual puppet band reacting to live audio input, or set up a scene of drawn characters controlled by the movement of dancers.

In contrast with the traditional 3D animation programs, creating characters in Animata is quite simple and takes only a few minutes. On the basis of the still images, which serve as the skeleton of the puppets, we produce a network of triangles, some parts of which we link with the bone structure. The movement of the bones is based on a physical model, which allows the characters to be easily moved.

Animata can be connected with widespread programming environments used by multimedia developers and artists in order to make use of the possibilities of these applications in the fields of image editing, sound analysis, or motion capture.

Blimp is a layered (non-destructive) photo editor. It supports many raw formats (through dcraw), 8-bit or 16-bit color depth per channel and editing operations including curves, grayscale mixer, resize, unsharp mask and local contrast enhancement, all of which are adjustment layers.

Cooka is a very simple image viewer written in C# and compiled with Mono framework. The application is really essential: it has a file system browser in order to select the folder containing images to display; a thumbs viewer useful to see a preview of the images within the selected folder and some information like image’s name, size and dimension; and finally a “view” area used to display the selected image. In order to handle images and to enhance image viewing, Cooka provides a simple toolbar that allows users perform some basic operation such as rotate, zoom, set as background.

Well, actually it is Gtk2::CV, a perl module that implements an image viewer. It comes with its own demo app, named cv, which is loosely modeled after the classic xv, although it displays images much faster than the great original.

FLIF is a lossless image (and animation) format. It tends to compress better than other image compression formats. This is the reference implementation of the FLIF encoder/decoder. The command-line utility 'flif' converts FLIF to/from PNG or PNM.

Fluxus is an environment which allows you to quickly make live animation and audio programs, and change them constantly and flexibly. This idea of constant change (flux) is where it's name comes from. Fluxus does this with the aid of the Scheme programming language, which is designed for flexibility; and an interface which only needs to provide you with program code floating above the resulting visual output. This interface enables fluxus to be used for livecoding, the practice of programming as a performance art form. Most users of fluxus are naturally livecoders, and some write fluxus scripts in front of audiences, as well as using it to rapid prototype and design new programs for performance and art installation.

Inksmoto is the Xmoto level editor. It's an Inkscape extension.

Practical command line tools based on the ITK, intended for image processing. These tools are designed to take one or more input image(s) from the command line, perform a single operation, and produce an output image. For example smoothing of an image can be done with the tool pxgaussianimagefilter.

Note: these tools (specifically pxcastconvert) are required to run the Elastix test suite.

Limoo is an Image viewer, created using QML, Qt and C++.

MPView is image viewer and manipulator (can read and write common image types and do simple transformations, like crop, rotate, etc... on them). It is somewhat similar to IrfanView from windows. It requires Qt 4 and (optionally) libpng, libjpeg, libtiff and libmagick (the more of these, the better support of reading/writing various image formats).

Printoxx is a graphical menu-driven program which operates in its own window. Printoxx can be used to make and print a photo collage. Select image files and add them to a layout page using the mouse. Images can be moved around, resized, and rotated. Text can be added using any font. Simple frames can be added to the images. The finished layout can be printed on paper formats supported by the printer and CUPS driver (A4, A5, Letter, etc.).
