Epiphany — простой, но мощный веб-браузер для GNOME, ориентированный на неопытных пользователей. Его основные принципы: простота и соответствие стандартам.

Простота достигается за счёт продуманного пользовательского интерфейса и переноса некоторых задач на внешние программы (например, чтение почты). Простота не означает ограничение функций, в Epiphany есть всё, что должен иметь современный браузер.

Соответствие стандартам достигается использованием механизма WebKitGTK+ для вывода HTML, который основан на движке, используемом Apple Safari и Google Chrome. Пользовательский интерфейс соответствует GNOME Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) и тесно интегрирован с рабочим столом GNOME.

Pidgin is a graphical, modular instant messaging client capable of using multiple networks at once. Currently supported out of the box are: Jabber/XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, SIMPLE, and Zephyr. It can support many more with plugins.
