Epiphany est un navigateur Internet pour GNOME simple mais puissant, destiné aux utilisateurs peu expérimentés. Ses principes sont la simplicité et la conformité aux standards.

La simplicité se trouve autant dans l’interface que dans l’intégration d’applications externes pour la réalisation de tâches périphériques (telles que la lecture de courrier électronique). Simplicité ne signifie pas manque de fonctionnalités. Epiphany possède tout ce qu’on est en droit d’attendre d’un navigateur web moderne.

La conformité aux standards est obtenue côté HTML en utilisant le moteur de rendu WebKitGTK+ (qui est basé sur le moteur utilisé dans Safari d’Apple et Chrome de Google) et côté interface utilisateur par l'observation scrupuleuse des recommandations « GNOME Human Interface Guidelines » (HIG) et par une intégration poussée avec le bureau GNOME.

Pidgin is a graphical, modular instant messaging client capable of using multiple networks at once. Currently supported out of the box are: Jabber/XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, SIMPLE, and Zephyr. It can support many more with plugins.
